This is a tough cover. I personally like it. The leather has a little bit of a slick, laminated finish and the leather is thick and very tough. It will protect your key for sure. Some other reviews mention that it makes your key significantly bulkier. That’s sort of true. But the thickness means protection and the key will still fit in your pocket. The buttons are accurately embossed and the hole that lets the logo show through lines up perfectly. Some people might not like that the seam adds to the bulk, which I can understand … it’s probably my biggest gripe. I’m sure there are nicer leather covers for Audi fobs. From what I can see, they are far more expensive than this fob cover. I can see buying those, but if you just want to protect your key, this will do nicely.

Audi key is famous for releasing hatch when you are no where near the vehicle (fob button gets compressed in pocket or something). Happened so many times, I come back to my parked Q7 and find the hatch all the way open. Um, not cool. I tried to come up with a solution, but then thought a cover would work. Found this one by searching online. So far, awesome. And it's an exact color match to my interior as well.

Fits perfectly and definitely protects the key. Leather is real and smelled genuine when I first opened it. I frequently detach my door keys when going to the gym. The attached clasp is perfect for this. Only difficult task is if you need to lock the glove box. Taking the case off takes a moment, but I rather it be secure as it is.

Excellent quality and this key cover is really genuine leather. The smell proves it. It fits the new Audi key perfectly. Also as it thickens the overall key this helps the key stay in the vehicle key slot. The loop is perfect for hooking onto your belt loops without anything else. Once the key fob is in the leather cover and you loop in the key chain the opening stays shut, can’t even pry it out unless you remove the key chain loop. I would only use my Audi key Fob with this leather cover. If you got this far, I’d recommend buying the leather cover.
